Candace Gregory

President/CEO

Candace has served at Open Door Mission in many capacities for over 28 years. Born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada, she is a devoted wife to her husband, Steve, and mother to their four children. She has become a noted national advocate for the homeless and is sought out for her experience in implementing community prevention programs that help end the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Steve Frazee

Chief Impact Officer

Steve is blessed with godly parents and a wonderful family. He loves traveling, a hobby that began due to his father being in the United States Air Force. He enjoys God’s overall creation, especially seeing his image in people. His passion is helping people on their journey with Jesus, learning to live life to the fullest.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Mike Johnson

CFO/COO

Mike came to the Open Door Mission in 2014 from a successful business career in different roles including; Vice President in Finance and Director of Process Improvement. One of Mike’s favorite roles at Open Door Mission is leading bible study with men in our New Life Recovery program and seeing how the Lord works in their lives. He loves hiking, outdoor sports, and spending time with his family and friends. He has a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a CPA certificate from the State of Missouri.

Amy Harvey

Chief Community Relations Officer

Amy has served at Open Door Mission for 17 years and has thoroughly enjoyed every role she’s stepped into. “I feel privileged to be able to work in a place that I can pray with people and promote my love for Jesus. I get to see Jesus working in people’s lives every single day and it’s a blessing.” Outside of work, Amy likes to garden, read, do puzzles, and spending time playing games with her family.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
