About a year ago a sweet young family moved into the Lydia House. They were Hispanic and only the dad spoke English.
That was the beginning of this family’s transformation. Since then the mother has received education in Domestic Violence, taken ESL classes and almost finished all of her GED testing. She plans to attend college and become the woman God made her to be, not the ignorant girl that she was told she was. She is growing stronger in her faith and teaching her children how to walk in the Lord and believe Him when He says He has hope and a future for them.
This week she receives her first Social Security card/number. She has already obtained a work visa and will get a Nebraska drivers license soon. A year ago she knew this would never be possible. This year she knows anything is possible if you trust in our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Continue to pray for the changed lives that are living at the Lydia House.
“I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
