One of the best things about being the Blog Coordinator is I get to share a variety of things that happen daily at Open Door Mission. Various staff send me pictures and stories of things that make them laugh, be uplifted or just make them glad they work here. We get lots of questions about volunteering…age, jobs, how long and what areas. This photo came from our chef Gary. This summer he is enjoying having some future chefs helping him in the kitchen. This photo shows all ages can help; it is fun when you volunteer with friends (or family); and learning the basics of hot dog cookery is a valuable life lesson!
