The Golden Ladle Goes To…

Oct 19, 2015  |     |   General

Open Door Mission was blessed with a full house at yesterday’s Ladle of Love event.
A huge shout out of thanks to: all staff who worked this event, the men from the life changing programs who set up tables and directed traffic, our Kitchen and Hospitality crew who kept the soup flowing, to each volunteer who pitched in to make the event a success, and to every attendee who supported Open Door Mission at this fun, fall festival!
It was a great day with lots of smiling faces and full stomachs.  The Open Door Mission Chefs once again received Honorable Mention for receiving the most votes with their delicious Cheesy Smoked Pork Soup.  Let me tell you, it was good stuff!
The Ladle of Love Awards went to:

Bronze Ladle – Charleston’s Midtown, Loaded Potato Soup
Silver Ladle – Nettie’s, Southwest Potato Corn Chowder
Gold Ladle – Upstream’s Smoked Gouda

If you missed out this year, we hope to see you next time!  Click here for more photos of the event!
