Stewardship of God’s Gifts

Jul 17, 2013  |     |   General

My name is Sue King and I work in the Development Department in the Administration building. My main job duties are to open the mail daily, enter donations into our data system, and go through the volunteer  sign in sheets and enter that information.

This past Sunday I heard an interesting sermon on stewardship and I immediately thought of our faithful volunteers and donors. I had not really thought about this but I learned that EVERYTHING we have belongs to God. That includes our house, our car, our personal items, our money and our time. We are to manage all of these things for His glory. When I let all that soak in, I really started appreciating the volunteers who faithfully show up every month, week, and even daily. I am impressed even more with the donors who consistently send donations every month-winter or summer.
As Christians, we can all become good stewards of the things God has entrusted us with. Let me ask you, as a good steward in God’s Kingdom, what are you doing with His time, His personal items, and His money?
