Here at Open Door Mission, we have days where Senior Citizen’s can come shop and fellowship. They are able to shop at their own pace.
I take home donated jewelry where I clean it and divide it into bags. Then I have a jewelry table where they can pick out several nice pieces to wear on special occasions or just to make them feel good. Some will tell me stories of the past, or just something that makes me laugh. I look forward to these days. One lady even looks through the jewelry for crafts she makes.
