A couple of nights ago, a young man came to me to talk about getting a hold of his parole officer. He said he wanted to go back to Lincoln and work to get a job and be with his family.
We talked, and I shared with him if he was paroled here in Omaha, he needed to fulfill the requirements of his parole.
As I spoke with him, I told him that I would talk to him as a father would to his son. I explained to him that when I was 20 years old, as he is, I had difficulty staying put. I explained to him my testimony how I came to God. He was listening intently and nodding his head in agreement to what I was saying. He knew he needed to surrender to God. He asked the Lord to forgive him and to help him live for God.
It is an amazing thing to see people come to faith. Please pray for our friend. Pray he would do the next right thing, one moment at a time.
