Nebraska Christian College Making a Difference

May 6, 2011  |     |   General

Recently, Nebraska Christian College Students spent and entire day on the Open Door Mission Campus being Jesus to many hungry and homeless men, women, and children in the Heartland. Students arrived in the morning and went immediately to the kitchen to help prepare a hot, nutritious meal to hungry and homeless men, women, in the Heartland. Lunch was made up of Hamburgers, Hotdogs, and French Fries that was all provided to the Open Door Mission by the students from the college.

After lunch students stayed in the kitchen and helped clean up after lunch. They scrubbed pots and pans, washed dishes, and wiped down tables and the floors in the dinning hall. They spent the afternoon helping in the kitchen getting ready for the dinner meal that was served later that night. When the school aged children arrived home after school, they were paired with these students, loaded up in vans and headed to the Amazing Pizza Machine where they enjoyed an evening of fun food and fellowship.

Thank you Nebraska Christian College Students for making a difference in the lives of people served at the Open Door Mission.
