My phone rang fairly early one day recently, and when I answered, the caller told me her name saying, “Do you remember me?” I said, “Yes. How could I forget you?” It was a graduate of our New Life Program, from a few years ago. I was excited because she remembered that there would always be someone at Open Door Mission she could call. She was looking for housing options, and it had been recommended to her by another Mission staff member to call me.
Wow! God is always working! Here was another soul striving to maintain and look for ‘shelter and a strong tower from the enemy.’ The Lord is a bringer of provision—He always provides what we’re in need of and He is always working things out for our good. I’m looking forward to her joining our Permanent Supportive Housing family, and seeing the other blessings God has in store for her through the ministry of Open Door Mission.
