Open Door Mission believes in encouraging our guests to give back to the community that helps support their recovery. The men love to get a chance their various skills.
The men in our New Life Recovery and Journey to Work programs volunteered to help renovate the kitchen at the Camp of the Good Shepherd. The camp hosts Bible camp for kids and trains them in the Word of God through evangelism and discipleship.
The camp also sends out missionaries to Romania to share the Gospel with children there too. It’s awesome to see our men use their talents and time to further the Kingdom of God!
Open Door Mission and the camp have a great partnership that has been going on for 2 years now to make disciples both here in Omaha and across the world.
