I have completed the New Life Recovery Program, and have since been spending time with my daughter and my grandson, and working towards getting my Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). My desire is to be an independent, productive, and exceptional member of society.
I am just a couple of months away from celebrating five years of sobriety and feel that I’m ready to give back some of the hope and faith that I have gained since walking through the doors. I began a long journey of self-discovery and faith, and all that hard work has taken me away from the hopelessness of addiction and incarceration.
Words could not describe my gratitude for the blessings I’ve received at Open Door Mission, and I want to be a light in the world in return.
