Last week at Timberlake Outreach Center we had the opportunity to serve over 500 families, It was a busy place but God has divine encounters. We (staff) have the privilege to pray with our guests, to encourage them and to give them hope through the word of God. I have gotten to know our guests and to share their struggles and good moments with them. As I reflect on God’s plan for all of us, I see that as you minister to someone in need you also receive from God’s plan your life.
A young Hispanic lady came in. She just had lost her husband and she has 3 children. She said she was alone, and she was very discouraged and did not how she was going to provide for her children. But as she was helped with what she needed, she felt happy that she could count on a place like Timberlake Outreach Center to come and get the items she needs. She now knows that she is not alone and that God is proving for her and her children. I know that as she comes back every month we will be able to establish a relationship that will continue to encourage her and help her as much as we can. So let’s be ready to listen to God’s plan for our day and be prepared to give and receive from Him. ~ Evelyn V, Bilingual Intake Worker
