Recently, I have had opportunities to broaden the horizon of the program member who attend my Professional Development Class. I am always looking for activities in the community that will help some one to obtain employment like the workshop held recently at the YWCA. Topics like “How to handle Fear in Your Job Search”, Winning Resumes and Job Hunting Tips are invaluable to our program members.
Tonight, I was able to take a group of program members to an Interview Forum held at Christ Community Church. What an awesome opportunity to hear from professionals in the community where our people where able to ask hard questions and get positive feedback to areas that need some work in the interviewing process.
I was able to make some contact for professionals to come to Open Door Mission and speak at the Professional Development Class. God is good and our program members are blessed with these opportunities.
