The following are staff reactions from October’s Promotions Night. I pray that through these words, all readers will get a sense of how important our guests are. We as staff celebrate with the Lord and His angels over these accomplishments, because we know lasting change is just around the corner.
“There was an electricity in the air from start to finish- what an amazing celebration!”
“Thank you to every staff member who attended and participated. I really appreciate all the staff involved in making this night happen. Thank you all. It was great to see the joy in each guest’s face as their accomplishments were celebrated!”
“This just gives me goosebumps…I can hardly wait until next month!”
|At Open Door Mission, there is always plenty of God’s
great works to celebrate.
“It is awesome to be part of this with you all. When I look at the men and women who are in the Programs, I see courageous people! They admit that what they have done in the past hasn’t worked, want to better their lives, and are ready for a change. Only through the Gospel of Christ are they able to do that. I am truly honored to be doing ministry with each any every person here at Open Door Mission. To God be the glory, and God alone!”
“It was an exciting and fun night. I can’t wait for next Promotion Night!”
“I was so glad that I attended Promotions Night last evening. I had tears of joy in my eyes all the way home after seeing the men and women holding their awards and taking that next step in their journey.
When I got home, I told my wife that this is why I am in full time ministry, sharing the Gospel with so many here at the Mission. God has a plan for each of us and I was so thrilled to be a part of the journey to share the love of God, to be His hands and feet.
This morning at devotions, I shared these Bible verse with the men:
I love seeing how God is working in their lives, and will continue to encourage them to stay with it, and not to give up. God has a plan for each of them, and He will be with them every step of the way! I am so blessed to be a part of this ministry and to see daily how God is at work!”
“Amen! What an amazing night of celebration! God is faithful!”
“It was awesome to see so many people become revived in their goals! They all have ownership in the Program, and that made all the difference. Thanks to all who coordinated this event. God showed up in full force!”
“It was a blessing to see the Body of Christ build up each other in love, and our most holy faith. This celebration could be the needed incentive for other men and women to commit to our Recovery Programs.”
Please continue to pray for more breakthroughs, for more of God’s work in our guests’ lives, and for more lasting change.
