Celebrating becoming a “Big Boy”

Jul 26, 2012  |     |   General

Matt B. just turned four years old, he is a big boy now so he celebrated by helping those younger than he. Since he no longer needs diapers or pull-ups he (and his Mom Amy) decided to celebrate the status of “Big Boy” by having friends and family donate diapers & pull-ups to Lydia House for his birthday. Though a little shy, Matt is a cutie whose family is already instilling the virtues of giving back to your community, sharing with others and compassion towards the needy. Thank you to Matt and his family for donating over 45 pounds of needed diapers to Open Door Mission.

Open Door Mission is in need of size 5 and 6 diapers and diaper wipes. Would you please consider donating to Open Door Mission so we may meet the needs of the little ones we serve-the babies and toddlers? Your donation can and will make a difference in the lives of the homeless and near homeless families served in the community and Lydia House. Please visit www.opendoormission.org to see how you can become involved.

  1. That is my grandson! I am so proud that his mom is teaching him, and his brother, to care for those who are less fortunate. Older brother Alex's birthday is coming up in November and I hear a canned food drive is on tap. I can't wait!
