Cold weather is fast approaching and Open Door Mission needs to be prepared. Will you help us provide all types of winter weather clothing? Look in your closets for coats you no longer use or want. Gather up the scarves, pairs of gloves or mittens and winter hats. Outgrown snowsuits and even ski suits are welcome. Gently used snow boot would be appreciated so children can play outside in the snow and stay warm. You donations of gently used winter clothing will help not only the guests at Open Door Mission but the working poor in the community through the Timberlake Outreach Center.
If you like to be “hands on” and knit or crochet…we love homemade items too. We have all “sizes” at the Mission, from baby to large men. In other words we need all sizes of scarves, hats, mittens and gloves. We also appreciate donations of sleeping bags and blankets to provide a warm sleep. Thank you for making a difference to keep everyone warm this winter.
