It is truly an honor and privilege to be on staff at Open Door Mission. Everyday there are opportunities to touch the lives of men, women, and children with the “Good News” concerning the Lord Jesus Christ. Since I work in Men’s Ministry, let me say it is a joy being around men who stay here, whether for a short time, or are committing to one of our programs. They are hungry in spirit, soul, and body. We, as staff, have the great blessing of ministering to the needs of the whole person, on a daily basis.
As a driver, I look for opportunities on my shuttle runs to show the love of the Lord in word and deed. Working the early shift means that most of my runs involve taking the men downtown, so they can find work for the day. We make sure to carry sack lunches on the van so they are set up for the food they need to work. Through kind people, like yourselves, God is doing some great things here at the Mission, and He is allowing me to contribute in many ways.
