April Fool’s Day

Today is April Fools’ Day…a day to play jokes and tricks on our family, friends and even coworkers. A day of foolishness can be fun, but God takes daily foolishness very seriously. I don’t know exactly how many verses address foolishness-it depends on whether you are just looking for fool, foolish, foolishly or foolishness. Using all those variants there about 126 Biblical references for “fools.” There are two verses that really stand out, Psalm 14:1 and Psalm 53:1. These two verses have the same message…”Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” and “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” To live life without is foolishness. I know because I have tried both ways. A life with Christ doesn’t make life perfect, but so much more bearable. Knowing you are loved with an everlasting love, a forgiving love and joyous love can brighten each day and provide a future of Hope. So don’t be “foolish”, trust God with your heart today.
