Always Delivering What We Need

Deon, United Parcel Service

Open Door Mission has a lot of “unsung heroes”, from volunteers to donors to our delivery men. Yes, our delivery men have become a part of how the Mission serves the less fortunate. Those of us at Administration have gotten to know them well…especially with donors using Open Door Mission’s from various “wish lists” for on-line shopping . Over the years we have been blessed to have the same guys for the 3 major delivery services, the United Parcel Service, FedEx and the United States Postal Service. These men rejoice with us when donors respond to needs so quickly (their backs don’t always rejoice!). They can bring in a few letters or small packages or even 38 large boxes at one time. Sometime the boxes are lightweight (socks and underwear) or very heavy (food and car seats). They come with a smile and joy in their hearts to deliver to Open Door Mission. Here are the pictures of these awesome men, an “auxiliary” staff of Open Door Mission. We are blessed.
