Alley Poyner Macchietto Builds Water Towers!

Jul 10, 2010  |     |   General

Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture heard the call for help and responded in an awesome way. They started a Beat the Heat drive to collect water, sunscreen and other summer products to ease the sting of summer. They built “water towers”, resulting in over 350 pounds of bottled water! They also collected sunscreen and lip balm and even some summer toys for the children.

We are blessed to have Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture as a partner. They designed the new Lydia House which allows us to serve 46 families and 72 single women looking for new life. They are also the designers for the new Permanent Supportive Housing apartment building that has just been started. The apartments will allow Open Door Mission to serve our clients and community with affordable, transitional housing.

You may not be able to design buildings, but you can build “water towers” for Open Door Mission. Please consider having your office, company, church or organization build “water towers” so the Mission can provide clean bottled water for the homeless in the metro area. Build a “water tower” (or several) and take a picture and we will post it on Facebook with your company or organization’s name. Please call me at 829-1554 to set up a Beat the Heat drive now.
