Since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, I just want to talk about the Love of God. Although I know my mind cannot comprehend the depth of His love, I definitely experience and see it everyday at the Mission. God shows His love to us through the awesome volunteers that selflessly help serve meals to the hungry and homeless at Open Door Mission.
The new Lydia House also shows the love of God in a practical and tangible way: many people come broken, but leave restored. People gain back the ability to dream and hope. They also find out their lives do matter and that they can get back on their feet. God’s love for us is manifested everyday through the meals and safe beds that are provided at the Mission and through the lives that are changed daily. I’m grateful to see that everyday is Valentine’s Day at the Open Door Mission.
