Phase I - New Lydia House

The first phase of the Rebuilding Lives Campaign addressed the ongoing needs of homeless women, children and families — the fastest growing segment of the homeless population. The Lydia House expansion project allows us to serve 62 percent more women and families than was previously possible.

The Lydia House expansion provides emergency services and recovery programs with life-changing services and 61,500 square feet of living space for single women and families.

Your support of the Rebuilding Lives Campaign helped make this dream a reality!

With the expansion of the new Lydia House, children and families are given their own living area so they can focus on moving forward together—as a family.

Filled with educational toys, books, even a pretend kitchen, the Bright Space gives our babies, toddlers, and young children a place to grow and play.

“I came to the Lydia House about 6 months ago. I was scared - my first time being homeless with two kids. But I pulled through and found my way to Christ. I am in the recovery program changing my life around and being here is an awesome experience. I am so grateful.” —LaVena

Families are now preparing and sharing meals, talking about their days, and spending quality time together around the kitchen table. For some, it’s the first time.
