The summer months are a difficult time for the homeless in Omaha. We need your help as we prepare to serve the hungry and homeless men, women, and children who come through our doors.

Did you know we can provide a complete summer meal for just $2.15? 

In addition to financial support we also need your assistance to help break the cycle of homelessness and poverty. This summer we are collecting the following:

Beat the Heat

• Water to be handed out to the homeless on days when it is extremely hot and humid
• Sunscreen to protect the children attending our Summer Bible Day Camp
• Fans to help low income families in the Heartland who do not have air-conditioning

Fill the Pantry

Open Door Mission serves more than 2,000 meals daily as hunger never takes a vacation.

You can help stock our shelves with:

Adopt A Student

Provide homeless and needy children with new clothes and underwear in their favorite colors with shoes to match so they’ll feel like they fit in on their first day of school. Your kindness will touch hearts with God’s love. Signup online, TODAY to get matched with a student. 

Open Door Mission will provide the names of individuals and their information. Please plan to spend approximately $75.00 to $100.00 on each student. Adopt-A-Student sponsors will be responsible for delivering the "Adopt A Student" items to Open Door Mission on August 5th - 6th.
