Open Door Mission - About the Homeless

Open Door Mission
Take A Video Tour

When most people think of the homeless, they think of middle-aged men with alcohol problems. They think of men wandering the streets asking for money to buy their next drink.

Those visions are hard to change.

Today, men are still homeless, but so are many women and children.

Open Door Mission - About the Homeless

Throughout the Heartland, 20,000 people are homeless each night---2,000 of them are in Omaha.

The reasons for homelessness are as diverse as the people themselves. Click here to learn more.

No matter what the reason, they have no where else to turn. But with your help, homeless men, women, and children can find hope at Open Door Mission. Hope that can break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
